Cutting current


The higher the current, the greater the output power of the wire saw machine, and the greater the pulling force on the wire saw. The scouring effect on the surface of the bead is strong, and the diamond is easy to open, which ensures continuous cutting efficiency. Therefore, the current is usually high and not low. The cutting current is shown in Table 3.

Line speed

The linear speed is the speed at which the wire saw moves the beads on the wire saw machine. Usually, the linear speed can be measured by calculating the time and distance that a single bead moves. The linear speed of beading follows the principle of: as the hardness of the stone increases, appropriately reducing the linear speed of the wire saw can achieve better cutting results. On the contrary, if the hardness of the stone is lower, the wire speed will be appropriately increased, and the wire saw will have better cutting efficiency and cutting life.

Of course, the increase and decrease of the line speed also depends on the actual cutting situation of the diamond wire saw. For example, when a new wire saw is used, it needs to go through the cutting edge process, so that the diamond has better exposure, so that the wire saw can reach the ideal cutting efficiency faster. Cutting direction and guide wheel setting

When cutting a façade (i.e. a vertical plane), the wire saw is cut in two directions: Top in, bottom out and bottom in, top out. Top in and bottom out: the wire saw is easier to cool with water, and the cutting efficiency is faster. But the requirements for the guide wheel setting are higher. Bottom in and top out: It is difficult for the wire saw to take water, and it is not easy to cool the rope, which is not conducive to protecting the wire saw. Therefore, we recommend the method of "top in and bottom out" for stone mining.
