How to Detect Welded Diamond Segments?

When cutting stone, it is often encountered that the diamond segment is turned off. Most of the time, it is caused by the failure of welding the diamond segment when it is welded. At this time, how to weld the segment and how to detect the welded segment becomes a problem.
stone cutting segment, diamond segmentDuring the welding process of the segment, the welding is often completed by high-frequency welding. In this way, the high-frequency welding machine heats the solder pads in a short time, and the saw blade and the base are quickly connected by the melted solder pads. The commonly used solders are copper solder pads and silver solder pads. Among them, due to the high melting temperature of the brazing sheet, it is easy to cause secondary sintering of the segment and reduce the cutting stability of the segment. Therefore, for better cutting effect, silver solder tabs with a silver content higher than 35% will be more suitable for the segment to be welded.

During the process from melting to cooling of the solder tab, the segment and the blade base are firmly bonded together due to the rapid cooling and solidification of the solder tab. Several issues arise at this time:

1.Because the temperature of the solder tab is not enough, the solder tab is not completely melted, and the segment and the base are not connected together. In this case, the segment can't be used at all, and it will fall off with the welding pliers. In this case, it is necessary to re-weld the blade.

2.The soldering temperature is too high. After the solder melts, the soldering will bubble due to the entry of oxygen. In this case, because the welding area is not enough, the state of the segment is that the welding is not firm, and the segment can be removed by gently pulling it with the welding pliers.

3.During the welding process, if a semi-automatic welding machine or a fully automatic welding machine with low precision is used, the welding angle of the segment will be shifted. In other words, the segment is not aligned. Such a segment cannot cut on the saw blade and will affect the cutting of other saw teeth.

4.Due to the cleaning of the old solder or the problem of the blade base, the diamond segment has problems such as unstable welding and weak welding.

The above problems are often encountered, so it is particularly necessary to detect the saw teeth of the welded saw blade. At present, the following three detection methods are mainly used:

1.Welding pliers detect firmness. This is currently the easiest way to test the firmness of the segment, and the tools used are mainly welding pliers or wide-nosed pliers. Use pliers to clamp both sides of the segment and pull it from left to right. The pulling force should not be too large, but it should not be too small, about 200N. In this way, it is possible to roughly detect the possibility of the left and right deflection of the saw blade causing the segment to fall during the cutting process.

2.Detection of balance. Place the welded circular saw blade on the testing equipment, and record the data of the rotating circular saw blade. There are mainly balance data, saw blade static end jump, static dynamic jump data, etc., which are judged by industry standards or factory standards.

3.Impact resistance test. Use a steel hammer to test the rigidity of the substrate, and also test the impact resistance of the saw blade. Only the saw blade that can pass the test can be sold.
