Ordinary reinforced concrete can be divided into 14 grades including C15, C20, C25, C30, C35, C40, C45, C50, C55, C60, C65, C70, C75 and C80. The strength standard of concrete refers to the compressive strength of a cube with a side length of 150mm after curing for 28 days. However, in the field of reinforced concrete wire saw cutting, we often use the content of steel bars in concrete to characterize, that is, the percentage of the total area of steel bars in the sawing area.
With the application of steel reinforced concrete, the cutting of concrete has also become a huge project. Now the commonly used cutting methods mainly include thermal cutting method (flame cutting, laser cutting), mechanical cutting method (high pressure gas crushing, hydraulic crushing), chemical cutting method (explosive cutting) and diamond tool cutting (especially wire saw).

The scope of application of reinforced concrete wire saw includes the cutting of buildings, bridges, dams, cement pipelines, large piers, etc., submarine oil pipeline cutting and underwater reinforced concrete cutting.
Of course, the diamond wire saw also has its shortcomings as a cutting steel reinforced concrete material. Below we list a few problems that still need to be solved:
1: The lifespan of upgraded cutting steel reinforced concrete materials is not high. The main reason is that the steel in the steel reinforced concrete material consumes too much diamond in the diamond wire saw, especially when the steel bar is thick and the hardness is high, the performance is particularly obvious, and the cutting life cannot be guaranteed.
2: The current technology of diamond wire saw needs to be refined. For example, the broken rope and the flying of beads often occur. Most of these situations are very dangerous. Therefore, during the cutting process of the diamond wire saw, no one is allowed to enter the construction site within a radius of 25 meters, which is difficult for management.
3: The wire saw cannot be used multiple times, and the cutting cost is high. This is also the core reason why wire saws have not yet become the main material for steel reinforced concrete construction cutting. Therefore, it still needs to be developed and researched, and finally diamond wire saw product with low price, high cutting efficiency and long life can be sought.
